Transcending all boundaries to give sight to the sightless; to provide preventive eye treatment during infancy; to help the needy visually impaired persons; to provide need based shelter to old, visually impaired women; to provide light at the seemingly endless tunnel of hopelessness and despair is what The Poona Blind Men’s Association (PBMA – established in 1952 & registered under Bombay Public Trust, 1950) and its various projects are doing on a daily basis and extremely happy to be rendering such valuable. humanitarian service to the visually impaired through a wide network of activities covering the entire spectrum of rehabilitation and prevention.

The Association has constantly set goals for itself which at first instant seemed impossible to achieve. As the years went by, the association added one laurel after another to its credit but did not rest on its achievements.
