PBMA’S KANTALAXMI SHAH EYE HOSPITAL AT NANDURBAR
PBMA’s Kantalaxmi Shah Eye Hospital at Nandurbar, a project of PBMA’s H.V. Desai Eye Hospital was set up at Nandurbar for the tribal people and is rendering valuable eye care services in these areas. The population is 2 ½ million people but the socio-economic condition of the tribal people is very low. The percentage of cataract is very high. Hence, with the establishment of our eye hospital, it has become a boon to the poor people with various eye ailments. Under our outreach program, we collect patients from remote areas ranging from 100-150 kms. away from base hospital and bring them to base hospital. After treatment and surgery, we take them back to their respective villages in our own vehicles. All our services under outreach program are provided free of cost including transport, treatment, surgery, food and one months medicine.

SHIRDI SAIBABA HOME FOR AGED BLIND WOMEN
The Shirdi Sai Baba Home for Aged Blind Women, Dhairi is a unique project. First of it’s kind in India. The Home presently houses 65 old, blind women who spend the sunset years of their lives in peaceful and serene surroundings. In order to pass their time well, they play music, sing bhajans, prepare plastic articles, food stuff, paper bags (eco friendly) etc. Their boarding, lodging and medical requirements are provided free of cost.

PBMA’S KAMLA AMUL MASSAND TECHNICAL TRAINING INSTITUTE
It is situated atHadapsar. It has 170 trainees who are provided hostel facilities. This is a two year training program where vocational training is provided to them such as computer operations, telephone operations, handloom and weaving, chalk stick making, re-caning of chairs, tailoring, to name a few. We also have a Braille press project and a Talking Book Library project. We have rehabilitated more than 4,600 blind persons in society.

OUR HUMBLE APPEAL
Now, our H.V. Desai Eye Hospital is under the process of expanding our present projects and hence we have launched a new building project of Dharamsey Nansy Super Specialty Eye Care Centre. The total area of this building is nearly 18000 sq.ft. At present we are raising funds to complete this building project. May we request your Trust to kindly donate a substantial amount towards this building which will cater to the poor and needy people and will enable us to reach out to the blind/sightless persons in order to reduce avoidable blindness to a great extent. Our goal is that every needy person in Maharashtra will get excellent, qualitative eye care service. By your blessings, the sightless persons will gain BRIGHT LIGHT in their life due to sight restoration and this will dispel darkness and misery from their life forever.

"We earnestly appeal to all philanthropists, international agencies, foundations and trust, well wishers to contribute substantial amounts to complete our project." We sincerely hope that your Trust will accede to our request for a noble cause.

A KIND HEART HAS THE POWER OF TRANSFORMING THE LIVES OF THE SIGHTLESS PEOPLE BY GIVING THEM THE GIFT OF SIGHT.

With personal, warm regards,

N. P. PANDYA
PRESIDENT
