AN Old Man gets Independent

This old man Mr. Ganpat Jagtap waas nearly blind by both eyes, He had undergone a cataract operation for his (RE) following which his cornea was damaged ( ) His left eye vision also very poor due to a comealdcar following frauma. He culd not move around, even in his own house without somebody’s help & had to always depend on his wife or son or daughter in law to get his things done.

He came to the cornea clinic of H.V.Desai Eye Hospital about 2 months back. Our cornea consultant ( Dr. Shilpa Joshi) examined him & registered him for keratoplasty surgery. He was given priority as he was bilaterally blind. His right eye operated for keratoplasty by Dr. Shilpa Joshi on 8/10/2008
Now postoperatively the patient has good amsulatary vision in the operation eye. He no longer needs his stick or his relative to move around. Today he is not only an independent man but has developed his own social circle, his own friends & his found happiness again.
