Dr. Shilpa Joshi

Dr. Shilpa Joshi has been working as a consultant in H. V. Desai Eye Hospital since 2000. In 2003, she did her cornea fellowship from the prestigious L.P. Prasad Eye Institute since then she has been working as a cornea consultant. She has also undergone training in ocular surface disorders management & limbal stem cell transplantation procedures. She has presented many papers in the state & national level conference & is co author for same papers published internationally.

Dr. Shilpa Joshi (Fellow of LVPEI)
Dr. Seema Jagdale (Fellow of Shankara
Netralaya)
Dr. Pranav More (Fellow of Aravind Eye Hospital)
Each one of them has received specialized training (fellowships) in Cornea & External Diseases of the eye from renowned institutes.
The department is well equipped with investigative modalities like videokeratograph (V.K.G), specular microscope and slit lamp biomicroscope with camera facilities.

AN Old Man gets Independent

This old man Mr. Ganpat Jagtap waas nearly blind by both eyes, He had undergone a cataract operation for his (RE) following which his cornea was damaged ( ) His left eye vision also very poor due to a comealdcar following frauma. He culd not move around, even in his own house without somebody’s help & had to always depend on his wife or son or daughter in law to get his things done.
