PBMA's H. V. Desai Eye Hospital through it's community outreach program since more than 20 years, has been conducting eye camps in partnership with local organisations and government teams in the district of Solapur. By June 2025, it has established 8 Vision Centres spread in and around Solapur district. All patients not only from Solapur district but even adjoining areas upto north Karnataka can visit the Vision Centres which are well equipped to provide primary eye care. The hospital team also conduct vision screening of school children, eye camps for adults for various eye disorders – identifying those who require medicines, spectacles or surgery.
In August 2025, now we are starting 54,000 sq feet dedicated eye hospital with OPD facilities to conduct comprehensive eye examinations, special investigations and treatment procedures, Operation Theatre and separate ward facilities for male and female patients in coming through eye camps, walk-in to the hospital. The team of 4 eye surgeons along with supporting medical and para-medical staff is well trained to offer excellent eye care to patients in free as well as paid category.

Patient Guidelines & Services
- Walk-in appointments are seen on a first come first serve basis, on all working days
- Patients are allowed to bring only one attendant
- Children below 15 years of age are not allowed unless they are patients themselves
- A normal complete, eye examination will take 2-3 hours, including the waiting period.
- After the eye examination, doctors may suggest examination by other specialists, which may take few hours more.
