At PBMA's H. V. Desai Eye Hospital, we offer specialized paediatric ophthalmology services in Pune for children and adolescents under 16 years of age. Our goal is to detect and treat eye conditions early ensuring every child has the opportunity to see clearly, learn confidently, and thrive socially.

Conditions We Treat
Our paediatric ophthalmology team provides comprehensive care for:
- Refractive errors (near-sightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism)
- Amblyopia (lazy eye)
- Paediatric cataract
- Squint and strabismus
- Nystagmus
- Ocular trauma
- Low vision and visual impairment
We also collaborate with other departments to manage:
- Retinopathy of Prematurity (ROP) with the Retina Department
- Paediatric glaucoma and nasolacrimal duct obstruction with the Glaucoma and Oculoplasty teams
- Adult strabismus and double vision through our Strabismology services

Myopia Clinic: A New Initiative
We've launched a dedicated Myopia Clinic to address the rising incidence of near-sightedness in children. Services include:

- Spectacles, contact lenses, and medication options
- Parental guidance for long-term eye health
